2016-201 UEFA Champions League Group A! PSG, Arsenal, Basel, Ludogrets!

The round of 16 is pretty much a given. Even if they manage to come 1st in their group, they will probably end up drawing Atleti in their round of 16 tie.

When the so called BIG teams fucked up last season, we didn't crumble and could have finished even worsen (behind Spurs!!!). It didn't happen only coz of that W factor...

The point is, that when other BIG teams stumble and fall, we should have DEFINITELY been there to snatch the opportunity and go in for the kill. Instead, Leicester and Shit came out of nowhere and were leading the chase for a good part of, well, the season in Leicester's case, and 2 or 3 months in Shit's case. Unacceptable.

1st place in group is 100% in arsenals hands. No (legitimate) excuse to drop another point in ucl.

Hence why we will struggle in third place until the last game where we take three points to end up in second place, and all the Wengerites will hail it as a world class comeback. We then draw Barca and lose narrowly over two legs, again prompting the Wengerites to go into "we were so close, there's always next year" mode.

Rinse and repeat until Wenger finally realises his methods are outdated and hands over to a more modern manager who will win the league in his first season.

Xhaka has recovery issues as it seems. He will work on fitness and everything will be fine. We'll take PSG at the Emirates, get the 3 points and top the group. Pessimists are welcome to support Spurs, they play today.

That may be the usual case till now, but we would surely finish top of Group A this time..

Dear god Oxlade-Chamberlain is fucking awful. Been given so many chances yet hasn't done anything bar in pre-season where he does his best Messi impression.

If he had a big forehead people would be saying he's worse than Gervinho, and that's really not very far from the truth. Better fix up or he should be sold next summer

Ox is probably one of the more technical players in our squad... He can dribble against anyone (Bayern away) needs to learn the basics. I expect him to have that Ramsey season to be fair....

I'm not at all pessimistic. I just think that players who blow it, despite being given ample opportunities to succeed should not continue having game time (and in walcottd case, absurd wages) over the likes of Iwobi or Campbell.

In Ox's case it's a bit weird. He's clearly immensely talented and shows glimpses of world class...but he never completes a full chain of actions properly. He can dribble through seven opposition players like Messi on steroids but then lose the final challenge against the eighth player by doing something completely amateurish.

Ox needs to reinstate basics and improve his end product better... Else he will be like another Walcott in the making...

Problem with Walcott for me is that he stopped doing what he does best: run at people. It's as if he suddenly decided he didn't want to be known only for his pace, so he's just going to stop running. That, or he lost the physical ability to do so, which is probably more likely. But when you take that away from him you've reduced him in general, as that was his main strength.

I also think Walcott, much like Wilshere, is too clever for his own good. He constantly tries moves that none of his teammates were even in on, he's playing in his own world.

Or RE: Ox the dribbling etc is all natural instinct whereas his decision making is something that needs to be taught but has failed to learn in the entirety of his five years here. Currently playing at a lower standard than Gervinho was.

Should've really loaned him out imo
