Arsenal vs Burnley Post Match Thoughts

Posted by AWassist almost 9 years ago · 6 replies

Loads of changes by AW was bold and required. Ozil, Hector, Monreal, Chech, Ramsey, Joel got much needed break with heavy matches coming. Good to see Chambers, Gabriel, Gibbs much needed game time. Gabriel and Kos can never be a good CB pairing, just like Kos and Verminator partnership failed. both cannot lead the defense and need some one like Per to help them out. I have also noticed that Kos has gone slow in recovering his position, i am not sure if it's an issue with his fitness or he is past his best. My Rating for the team.

Ospina:- 6

Chambers:- 7 (2 extra for the goal) Gabriel:- 6 Kosh:- 5 (was easily bullied) Gibbs:- 7

Mo:-6 Coq:-6 Ox:-6 Iwobi:-7

Alexis:-9 Giroud:-7

Elnenny played in a b2b role but was quite disciplined and always helped Coq out.

Unfair to judge his defensive abilities in this role but he didn't seem very strong and isn't really a convincing tackler. Great on the ball though and loves a crack at goal

Didn't actually watch it...how was Elneny?

Promising. He was good considering it was his first match for Arsenal.

Laurent Koscielny looked off yesterday though, which is a bit of a worry. Chambers scored a superb goal, and Alexis scored! Chamberlain had a relatively good game so his haters seem to be silent at the moment.

Walcott missed a one-on-one in the 94th minute which led to (surprise surprise) 'fans' declaring that he should never play for Arsenal again since he couldn't score or tee up Elneny who was beside him but behind.

Oh, and Gibbs slipped and slide-tackled Coquelin. It's way more funnier now than it was when it happened.

Yeah had a good game yesterday. Actually looked up and crossed the ball for once rather than just spanking it as hard as he can across goal.
