Arsene Wenger The Referee Abuser, The Pusher, The Anarchist!!!

Posted by Omglol almost 8 years ago · 11 replies

Not really happy with what he did at all. WE have been outdone from referee lot more, even from this guy, he regularly does this, and yet Arsene took that unjust with dignity in the past. Now I like that he explode and showed more passion, but he really picked the wrong moment.

FA will make him an example for sure. How much and what we can expect?

The height of this "physical attack" was Wenger brushing aside an arm that was in his personal space. The fourth official isn't allowed to forcibly remove someone from the stadium, and yet he tried to push Wenger away from the tunnel. Wenger brushed his arm aside and told him to watch the game instead of watching him.

That's really the extent of what happened.

If Wenger gets sanctioned for that, then Anthony Taylor should get sanctioned for trying ti use force to remove Wenger from the stadium.

I don't see an issue with Wenger here... its not the business of 4th official to send him out...

That was one thing I was confused. Does he have right to chase him so far and try to make him comply with ref order, he ain't police. But still, if Taylor acted wrong, Arsene shouldn't have to try to match him.

He has apologised, move on. Pressure is immense on managers it's only normal for any one passionate about the game to overreact from time to time.

Move on? Who to move on? Because you know he got four-match touchline ban?

My comment actually was made before I knew about the ban. There is no need for this finger wagging towards AW. The man is passionate about his work. The game should have been in the bag long before that penalty decision and he lost self control. He apologised. Move on.

He must have said some seriously horrible stuff tho to get 4 matches. . .

Opta Stat: Since Arsene Wenger took over at Arsenal in October 1996, the Gunners have been given more red cards in the Premier League than any other team (75).
