Important Monday night match, Important for us to win specially that its a Home match and would do wonders to the confidence of the team. Importance is increased by the fact that its followed by Chelski at home and anything other than 3 points can cause lot of trouble. I would like AW to lineup. Cech Hector Per Kos Nacho Coq Ramsey Ox Ozil Alexis Theo Specially that LFC have got Benteke and it will be a physical battle.

Cech; Bellerin, Mert, Kos, Nacho; Coquelin, Cazorla; Ox, Özil, Alexis; Giroud would be my line-up

However it will be Cech; Bellerin, Mert, Kos, Nacho; Coquelin, Cazorla; Ramsey, Özil, Alexis; Giroud

I'd love Ramsey to be dropped. (Well, I'd rather he played instead of Ozil, but that won't happen)

Walcott as CF and Ox on the right for me.

Could do without Giroud in this game IMO...

Giroud will be benched as he has been previously in BIG matches and Theo will keep LFC's back line pined, Would love to see Alexis and Theo play, it would be nightmarish for LFC but doubt is AW is a big fan of that setup.

Watching Thierry vs Neville debating on Skysport before the game, and for first time i see Thierry took a stand, defending his opinion, i like that, and his opinion.

this game clearly shows the need for having 2 defensive midfielders who can be trusted to start.

Cech was outstanding. Gabriel, Nacho & Coq were all good too. Alexis, Cazorla & Özil looked baffled at times with the lack of options in front of them.

Giroud missed two easy-ish chances with Theo doing his best disappearance act when he came on. Both aren't good enough to start for a title challenging team.

Overall it was not a bad game except for 20 min spell in first half where Chamber looked lost. Most of our players played decently, However my faith in Santi is deteriorating fast. We don't need two players playing as DM (Santi and Coq). Santi cant defend well, he cant assist, can play only one and two's, score penalties only. We need to have an upgrade on him more than we need a winger.

Ramsey was robbed when his goal was given offside and would have broken LFC. Gabriel and Monreal had a solid performance and Cech was class act.

Sidenote:Some how the bench looked short of players who could make a difference in attack just Theo and Ox.

I don't know. I actually think we had a good game overall. Chambers was having an off day, which created havoc in our whole back four, which led to Liverpool having a few chances. Wenger should have identified that earlier and shuffled things around.

But despite having a makeshift defensive line, we still got a clean sheet against a pretty good Liverpool side. Gabriel's and Coquelin's defensive instincts are fantastic, it's clear to see why Wenger predicted Gabriel to have a breakthrough season. He's rough and perhaps won't understand a word you say, but when he has his mind set on taking the ball away from his opponent, he goes full YOLO, in a good way.

Monreal also put in a good stint.

Our marquee players Sanchez and Özil looked like this was their first Premier League game, both caught out a few times by the massive pace, and were again short of options since Wenger still insists on not playing two wingers in a two-winger system. I mean, is it really that hard to understand that two wingers = yummy success? How come neither of these successful teams feel the need to play central midfielders on the flank:

Chelsea: Hazard + Pedro
Real Madrid: Ronaldo + Bale
Bayern: Ribery + Robben
PSG: Moura + Lavezzi
Man City: Navas + Nasri

...etc.

If he really doesn't like strikers, play another system. There are plenty of wingerless systems that work fine. 4-3-1-2, narrow 4-3-3, cheeky 3-5-2, etc. Why continue with a 4-2-3-1/4-1-2-3 if he doesn't like wingers, I simply don't get it. You have the best classic Zidane-like #10 in the world, give him some options.

He reminds me more of Bergkamp, sans the goalscoring. Zidane ran with the ball a lot more.

This could be one of the funniest posts I've seen here. He first says Santi can't assist and then continues with Ramsey was robbed when his goal was given offside. DO YOU REMEMBER WHO CUT LIVERPOOL'S DEFENSE WITH THE THROUGH BALL TO RAMSEY? Here's a hint: He's a certain short Spaniard...
