Hope to see Debuchy and Campbell on the right. Maybe some youngsters like Iwobe too. Any info on Sheffield, are they anywhere good at this moment (as it can be for Championship side)?

They're only about five or six points off second place in the Championship so they're no slouches, but let's be honest...the only team capable of causing Arsenal a problem in this game are Arsenal themselves. If we go into this game with the same mentality as against recent opposition, we should cruise through it on autopilot.

As you say, expecting core of first-teamers with a few U21s sprinkled in for good measure.

Seems too far away from the first-team core. Debuchy and Gibbs probably get the chance but I wonder if he'll change the CBs. I predict Koscielny-Gabriel again. Wouldn't be surprised if Coquelin gets a rest though, seeing how vital he is this season. Doubt Bielik gets a chance as well.

Maybe he sees this as a good opportunity for Ox to get some confidence?

Yeah I agree. Give Flamini a start, put Ox on the flank opposite Campbell maybe. Problem is: who plays #10? Ramsey out, Wilshere out, Cazorla rested or played in CM, Rosicky out...perhaps try Ox as #10 and have a youngster on the flank. Or go 4-4-2 and skip the need for a #10.

Wenger said Cech will play so I doubt we'll see Macey.

I expected more kids to be honest, lucky Arsene is giving Ox the needed games to start the rusty engine.

i dont think this is bad competition, Its just that England has crazy idea that they need to push everyone on the edge with one extra competition and least rest.

Hopefully just a pre-emptive sub for Ox and a minor calf strain for Theo.

This is pretty woeful, but I kinda was expecting it.

Chambers is having a nightmare game, Mertesacker not exactly impressing anyone either. Campbell is light years away from his World Cup hype. Then add two injuries, players not caring that much about the Mickey Mouse cup, and Wenger not realising soon enough that our double pivot wasn't working...and yeah. Bielik should have come on at half-time to plug the leak in midfield.

Obviously the youngsters that started weren't that great, but no one expected that. Also, our experienced players did little to encourage or help them out.

Flamini was great in the second half, showed leadership and urgency. Bielik did very well. Good decisions, calm demeanour, good positioning.

Liked Bielik, thought Iwobi was decent but very raw. Bennacer & Kamara looked well out their depth. Mertesacker & Debuchy were absolute toilet.

Not overly arsed about the result, but letting Theo come on without warming up was some of the worst management I've seen from Arsene. It's like he hasn't learned a thing regarding player well-being since Shad's come in.

I thought Bennacer improved drastically over the course of the game. In the last 20 minutes he was pretty good in my opinion...getting some runs, taking on opponents and being energetic.

There I was beginning for a forfeit but did anyone listen?!

Nope. Now blame for the injuries can be placed squarely on your shoulders.
