I'm 98.4% sure Benzema will be an Arsenal player on September 1st. But the guy in that Twitter link is guessing just as much as everyone else.

Is Benzema better than Walcott or Giroud? I don't think he is! His goal/game ratio isn't any better than Giroud's and that's in a far weaker league!

45m seems like a lot of money for a player that isn't world class! I'd rather spend 20m less and get Aubameyang

I love both Giroud and Walcott, but Benzema is on a different planet altogether. He is definitely world class, one of the few remaining allround centre-forwards on the planet.

Feels like second choice after Benzema. Not convinced Lacazette is the answer. He's not better than Giroud, so wouldn't be first choice.

I don't think we need strengthen strikers bench and pay over the top for Benz. We need a winger, hijack Pedro's deal to Manures.

We don't need a winger. A set of Alexis, Theo, Ox & Welbz is enough. Simply having Giroud & Welbeck as the only natural strikers isn't enough. Benzema would be one of the best buys we've ever made.

We desperately need at least one winger. We only have one natural winger in the squad + two who are capable playing on the wing, and they all prefer the right wing (Sanchez + Theo and Ox). We don't have a single left winger in the entire organisation, and haven't for many years. For the left wing Wenger has used Özil, Arshavin, Gibbs, Nasri, Cazorla, Podolski, Hleb, Reyes...and they all have one thing in common: none of them is a natural left winger.

I've been screaming for a left winger for years now, I have no idea why Wenger insists on playing central midfielders or strikers out of position to fill a zone that he clearly wants to utilise in his tactical approach. At first I thought it was intentionally lopsided, that the idea was to have more of a playmaker on that flank...but now I think he's done it just because he doesn't have any other option.

Pedro, Reus, Hazard, Neymar, Turan, Robben, De Bruyne, Ribery, Lucas Moura...I'd even take Bale or Shurrle at this stage, just so we have someone on that flank who's default approach isn't to cut inside and leave the flank open.

Alexis is our left winger although I think his game is getting too easy to read out there. I don't think we'll buy a winger especially provided Walcott signed his new deal & Ox being phenomenal in pre-season. Plus the fact that Rambo will be forced into the side no matter what.

He's floating between the flanks, but the problem is he prefers the right side.

Theo & Ox to battle for the right flank.

Sanchez & Pedro/Ribery/Reus battle for the left flank.

Benzema for £45m.

Done.

Reus & Ribery are unattainable and Ramsey & Cazorla will be shoehorned in no matter what

Getting Benz only is good enough imo. Would like DM cover but it isn't looking likely.
