Theo Walcott talks about this season in The Mirror
On our current form:
In this calendar year, we've been the best team in Europe. It's the strongest the squad has been and everyone is staying fit as well. There aren't many injuries in the squad, which is important.
On injuries:
If we had an injury-free season, I think we could lift the title.
That's a pretty big if to ask for at Arsenal. And probably a fact that would be true for most top teams. He continues:
[Competition for places] makes it a bit more difficult for people to get into the team. I think, especially this season, not many people thought we'd be second and challenging for the Premier League.
I disagree. Judging by what we spent in the last two seasons on new players, I think most people expected a title run of some kind.
On being compared to Thierry Henry:
You could look at the pace side of it and the way we both finish. He had an unbelievable scoring record and to get anywhere near that would be a great achievement for myself. There are a lot of similarities in the way we attack defenders and the way we finish. I want to be my own player - I like to take bits from other players' games.
I used to look up to him when I was younger and try to study him very well.
Having been moved out to the wing, I've had to adapt my game and Freddie Ljungberg is a great example to me now, in terms of making runs off the ball - Thierry just made football look very easy at times.
Sounds good. Let's hope Theo gets a few games before the season is over.
Factually Theo you are no where near TH14. You play best as a winger and thats where you should stay. I like Theo but he needs to have his contract issue resolved for a long period. Drama every year.

Takes two to tango. I doubt Theo's camp is 100% responsible for the drawn-out negotiations.

It's simple for me. Podolski is on 100k and Theo is on 90k. Ship out Poldi, give Theo Poldi's 100k and suddenly 90k per week opens up.
