We need to bring in improvements!!
After seeing that dreadful game against Tottenham, I saw how we struggled to score anything or even create anything. Sanchez and Ozil may be world-class but are not showing it when it comes to the big games.
We look very mentally weak against a side who is very mentally strong.
Tottenham was good because they were able to play well together and be able to have good back-ups just in case someone is tired, injured, sick, and/or unavailable.
Arsenal. When we lost Cazorla, we had no one who could back him up. And that is why we weren't winning the way we could potentially winning.
Of course, we can't just blame it on one guy since everyone else wasn't doing what they were supposed to do.
Wenger either has to find someone to replace him or make the club great again. Otherwise, we might miss another St. Totteringham's Day from being absolute garbage.
The whole team is out of form for a handful of reasons, of which the biggest is Arsene Wenger. Sanchez and Ozil are still world class and far better than most players in the Premier League, but if a whole team is struggling they're not going to stand out. Football is a team sport. If the whole Barca squad was out of form people would start doubting Messi's abilities. That's how football works.
Signings are the least of my worries. We need to change our mindset, our attitude and our competitiveness. It needs to be infused into the club on all levels, from youth teams to academy to first team. It should be a hard struggle becoming good enough to play for Arsenal, and it should be zero tolerance on the pitch for anything less than 100% commitment. Opposition teams should hate playing against us, it should be trickiest fixtures in their season.
Currently, none of the "should" above is true. Our academy is light years behind even lesser teams, and hasn't produced anything of Premier League quality since Ashley Cole (ignoring Wilshere here due to the fact that he never plays). We have no sensible level-of-entry for playing, and our players look lethargic on the pitch even 1-0 down to Tottenham - a result that any real Arsenal player should be so infuriated by that they give 500% until that result is evened out or turned around.
And of course opposition teams love playing against us. We're one of the easiest fixtures on the schedule now, because we've been figured out for a long time. Press high, double up, attack on the counter. Works 90% of the time.
We're a joke in the football world, and the only way to fix it is to completely change the ethos and philosophy of the club. And the only way to do that is to bring in a manager with the desired traits.
The board has nothing to do with it.

You hit the nail on the head-this is exactly why we need a new manager. Arsene has become stale and satisfied with mediocre finishes, while us fans suffer season after season of stagnancy. This is kind of what happened to Chelsea with Jose's second run. He was successful for a time, but then when his strategies failed, Chelsea quickly replaced him with Conte, a fresh manager with new ideas, like the 3-4-2-1. Conte not only restored Chelsea, he restored Hazard, arguably a top 10 player in the world. It's not a perfect parallel, but we need to learn from Chelsea's decisions. They moved on from the past with Mourinho, and now they're on track to win the league, something we haven't done in 13 years.

Signing players isn't as important as having a modern manager. Just look what poch did to those listless fools he inherited at spurs.

When your manager resorts to 3-4-3 not because he has a gameplan in mind, but because he has no idea what to do, then it probably is time to let someone else do the job

Wenger I feel has gone through too much at the club and could use a break from the club. It's not good to be under all that stress that keeps getting worst and worst. I love Wenger, but we need someone to revive us instead of losing our luck. Times running out.

Roman Abramovich wanted League stability and glory, hence he ditched so called 'Special One' Moaninho and brought Conte...
Sheikh Mansour wanted League and European glory, hence he ditched his League winning Managers (Mancini & Pellegirini) and brought in so called 'Successful Manager' Guardiola...
Even Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha (Leicester Chairman) wanted League stability, hence he ditched his club's historic League winning Manager Ranieri and made managerial change...
But at Arsenal, the board wants League stability (by finishing in Top 4) and financial stability, which is duly delivered by Arsene every season so far. Hence he remained at the helm despite others shout at him as failure...
Only when you demand, you will get the results...
so where does the change starts from???

Considering the boards strategy is to just keep wenger around to scrape by into top 4 every year, that statement makes no sense.

Stan is the owner. He decides if Wenger gets a new contract or not. He only cares about money.

If the board doesn't have higher ambition and happy with the Top 4 finish with lots of profit in hand, this mentality will affect the incoming Manager as well...

Usamov cares a lot more about Arsenal than Kroenke. Maybe, Kroenke should step down and let Usmanov take over. After all, he does have more money than Kroenke and Abromovich.
In a way, the board is to blame since David Dein left in 2007, no one went to challenge Wenger in saying how he needs to make changes to win things until Gazidis did that. Abramovich is a ruthless owner who will sack a manager no matter how respected if it means finding success.
The board needs to be more ruthless if the club is going to actually win things other than domestic cups.
