Why are Chelsea so shit this season?

I don't think anyone knows, and I think the reason is highly abstract - lack of confidence in [insert person(s)], overestimation, etc...things that can't be proven or analysed. To me there is no other logical explanation.

Whatever the reason, I hope it continues forever. I hope the Russian mafia guy gets bored with his toy and sells Chelsea.

I think mou is too demanding of the players and they are all exhausted. Too much running around on defense and not enough rotation in the past 28 months.

Chelsea didn't have a good squad last season. Sure they won it but it was down to Costa and Cesc having a wonderful first half of the season. Terry obviously had his peak last year and the fact that their defense would have been exposed without Terry was clear for everyone. In their midfield they have crap players like Ramires, Oscar, Willian (even though he's probably best in their line up) Cesc etc. The squad was terrible and it wasn't very hard to tell. But what caused them to tank is something along with their squad being crap, it's their manager. Jose created this "Chelsea against the world" mentality. Their players have this terrible attitude. It's a serious problem but once a new, fresh manager comes in it shouldn't take him long to change that mentality. I woke up at 6 this morning and had to fly for work so I'm a little jet lagged and very tired so I'm sorry if I couldn't express myself.

It's a combination of various little things that make one massive clusterfuck.

• 1) Mourinho's poor man management
• 2) Little to no rotation for 18 months
• 3) Diego Costa's hamstrings exploding and he now looks to start more fights than score goals
• 4) Cesc Fabregas looking physically shot and is now a Crystal Palace level midfielder
• 5) No opportunities given to youth
• 6) Aging squad with talisman John Terry being now useless
• 7) Ivanovic
• 8) Courtois getting injured
• 9) Players frustrated at the style of football or lack thereof (Hazard)
• 10) Abramovic's refusal to sack Mourinho (well, he has £30m worth of reasons why)

And so the sinking ship continues to go down. Happy days!
