I've heard that Wenger wants to challenge Chelsea for van Dijk this summer.

However, despite his quality, I'd rather stick with Holding since he will become one of the best center backs in the world and will also be cheaper and less injury-prone that van Dijk.

Of course, the cost is the should be the last reason for these things. Holding would save us a lot of money, in the long run, the way the likes of Dele Alli, Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford, and Jordan Pickford did when they were class players that cost little to nothing for their service.

All good options but I think Holding can be the "Bellerin" of center back being a centre-back who likes to be the "pivot" from defense to attack and the fact that he is still young could help him to perhaps be better than van Djik.

Holding is a good prospect but not sure he can play week in week out.. with Gabriel and Chambers will be more of backup, we need another experienced CB..
