Winter Transfer Window

Posted by danielson116 almost 8 years ago · 35 replies

Fellow Gunners,

The Winter Transfer Winner is almost upon us. I create this thread to begin a discussion covering who Wenger should pursue in January, if anyone at all. Personally, with our constant fullback struggles (mostly due to injury), I think Wenger should consider a new defender as a safeguard if Bellerin, Monreal, or Debuchy are put on the inactive list. Hopefully Arsene sees this and finally starts listening to us!

Chinese club has made a huge offer for Sanchez, apparently. £900k/week salary. If we get £150m for him, would you sell? Could get Griezmann + Reus for that kind of money.

if you're going off arseblog's tweet it was a joke. he put the author as Jack Eechan ffs

If we get £150m for Sanchez, Arsene will buy another potential young player for around £10m and send the remaining money to club's profit box...

Wenger warning of danger posed by Chinese money, yet at the same time warns of how if you buy, players become unsaleable due to wage bill. Doesn't this sort that issue? Also, doesn't the honorable wenger believe in homegrown talent? Wouldn't Chinese cash infusions help the epl as a whole improve their academies and therefore be able to produce streams of talent in house?

More contradictory bullshit from wenger, just setting up excuses for his inevitable failures.

What if they start bidding for our Talented Homegrown players next.. (lets say when the players are around 23-25 years old)

That changes nothing, since academy development is, in wengers view, a renewable resource.

But we still lose our investment/development of 6 -7 years on a player in nurturing him... We again start from scratch!!!
