To be honest I'd rather us sign a complete baller like Reus & put Alexis on the right. I mean they can be fluid anyway but Alexis, although effective most of the time, can be found out on the left as he's too predictable.

Him on the right could bring back what he was so effective at at Barca; his off the ball running.

Think someone like Reus is a pipedream now, especially considering his injury record and well, ours. He'd barely play a game for us

It is obvious that Alexis is beast everywhere up front, but if we are detailed he started playing on LW for us and he is more experienced player on RW and behind striker. Bringing one more LW would give us options up front to cover all positions, whatever happen, and move Alexis right for more diversity.

If we could go for Reus and get it, it wll be my dream, but i don't think we have chance for him.

So weird seeing Arsene talk so openly about transfers like that. Glad to see that he knows we are short and we desperately need to bring in not only depth, but quality. Fwiw apparently Welbeck is out til Feb & Wilshere won't be back til the end of Jan.

Flamini has done what he can to cover CDM in Coquelin's absence. He's put in hard work and has been consistent enough to keep us afloat this past month. That being said, he does not have the youth or quality to take us further in the CL or higher in the PL. With the coq/caz partnership out for an extended period of time, it seems silly to have to resort to a partnership of Flam + an attack-minded Aaron, neither of whom are ideal for the position. If we can sign one solid CDM in january (Wanyama, Bender, or maybe even Matuidi) so that we have some assurance in midfield, we will have a favorable chance in the PL, and a shot in the CL.

This Elneny thing is gathering steam, and I have no idea who he is so had a look on youtube. Seems to need to work on his first touch, but otherwise seems solid without being spectacular. Would like to see how he fares when being pressed.

Mohamed Elneny has confirmed he’s undergone a medical and agreed terms to join Arsenal, according to a top Egyptian website. And now Ahram Online says they’ve spoken to the 23-year-old and he’s admitted he’s completed a medical and is now set to sign the contract.

I'd rather have Higuain.

Why do you prefer Gonzalo Higuaín to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang?

A FC Basel statement read: "Not with us during training was Mohamed Elneny, for who there could be a transfer in the coming days."

What? He's been prolific and consistently performing on a high level wherever he has played. Aubameyang is a roller coaster with no evidence of being able to adapt to different leagues and systems.

Mohamed Elneny misses training as club expects him to be leaving them. I am not too excited by the looks of the player profile. Stats say his passing accuracy of 92.4 per cent was the highest at the club by some distance, while he also ranked highly for tackles (2.4 per game) and interceptions (2.0 per game). His long range passing is said to be amazing as well and has UCL experience. Since he does not play in TOP league i am not sure if he will be able to handle EPL.

He was basically brought in as a body so he can adapt for the next 6 months until we buy another midfielder in the Summer as Flamini & Arteta seem to be leaving

Don't think you could find a match where Messi bottled it in any relatively big match, no. Except for Argentina where he sets up bottlejobs like Gonz & Lavezzi on a plate but they fuck it up.

On that note, wishlist: Messi.

Messi missed penalty vs Chelsea and gave them chance to be the worst CL winners in the history. If thats not bottle job i donno what is. Yet Messi is still the best player that ever played football. And Higuain aint world class not even close.
