Giroud has 6 goals in 12 apps and he was subbed on for half of them isn't a terrible record idk tho. Is he the number 1 striker idk, but for now he's the best option we have. Stats don't lie. Most of giroud's goals come when the game is already decided.

I agree I'm just saying he's what we have atm.

Because every other striker on the team is injured.

Giroud misses a lot of quality chances, but he gets so many that his record isn't terrible aha.

We have a problem in the forward area, but not as much as people like to make it seem. At the other end of the pitch our back 4’s struggle has been ongoing for years. They’ve been horrendous at defending set pieces, I don't know what it is but recently they cannot mark a man in the box to save their life, especially in the champion’s league against Olympiacos. Because of all the injuries right we have to tinker with the line-up and the players aren't settled in to their position, like Debuchy-Gabriel. While our forwards are healthy we are capable of scoring a lot of goals, nonetheless we lose big games through poor defending especially in the second half. How did we beat Bayern 2 nil, and lose handily to Olympiacos? We decided not push forward at all costs and we beat a top-class club in Europe. ‘ In the offseason first we need to sign a quality centre-back in addition to a productive striker.

I know I only started posting yesterday, I hope some of this makes sense.

You guys do realise we're joint-top of the league with a healthy goal difference, right? Olivier Giroud scores 0.87 goals per 90 minutes; the third most efficient goalscorer in the league after Vardy and Aguero. As a team we have most shots per game, second most shots on target per game, most successful dribbles per game, second most interceptions per game, and the best discipline in the league.

And you guys are talking about Arsenal as if we're mid-table and as if Giroud is Harry Kane level.

I think people need to separate the Giroud's attitude from he's quality on the field. He's been near the top of the scoring leader's for more than 2 seasons.
