If Carvalho scores a 2 goals away at Spurs and the 2nd one being a volley to win it, you'll hail him as the greatest central midfielder to have ever lived period. Food for thought...

Dunno when it was a DM's job to score two bangers against Spurs tbh

Flamini could score a hat trick against Barca and take a massive dump on Pique's head; I still wouldn't rate him

Tbf, I would rate anyone that takes a dump of any designated size on Piques head.

I still think we need LW.

Thats covered now, we need a back up to Giroud, some one how can dominate the opposition physically, Danny is average and will not replace Giroud in a long run.

If Theo is considered a striker, we need a first choice RWer. If he's considered a winger we need another striker.

Flamini may do good against not top top quality. To compete with top (coq) quality we NEED a backup för Coq. We won't get to semi-finals in CL with flamini playing midfield.

RW - Theo, Ox, Cambell, Ramsey (yeah)

LW - Alexis, Wellbeck

I'm sure if needed Theo, Ox and Cambell can cover LW, but we should not demand consistency and good performance on that position from them. A LW who can cover CF would be best. One more Wellbeck :D

Fully agree about LW, I've been shouting for a LW since the summer, it's the one position in which we lack a pure backup. Hence why Wenger plays Gibbs there: we don't have anyone else whose natural position is left wing (except maybe Jeremy Corbyn, HARDY HAR HAR har har ha...ha ha......ha.......what a great crowd).

Where's Welbeck in that list?

I was just listing first- and second-choice players for each position. Welbeck at this point in time is third-choice striker after Giroud and Walcott. Perhaps when he's back he'll become second-choice striker and Walcott moved back to first-choice right-winger...but I doubt it. Theo has finally convinced Wenger he should be considered a CF, so I don't think he'll go back to being a permanent RW choice.

Welbeck played on the wings for us... And Chambers isn't 2nd choice unless you have 2 center halves injured together.

Welbeck played CF at the start of last season when Giroud was injured. Since he showed a lot of promise as CF he was then played out of position on the flank when Giroud came back, but underperformed and was benched. Then injured. His natural position is CF, hence third-choice.

And sure, Chambers isn't second-choice CB, but that's not the point. The point is that if every first-choice player is unavailable we have natural backups in every single position except LW. Sanchez is the only natural LW at the club, and he's not even technically a natural LW.

If our starting RW's are Ox & Campbell then it's not good enough. We need a starting RWer badly.

Well, our starting RWs are most likely Theo as first-choice and Ramsey if Theo isn't available. It's all academic really, we have backup for the LW position (Gibbs, Campbell, etc)...but my point is we don't have any natural second-choice left wingers.
